The state of Arunachal Pradesh is referred to as the Land of the Dawnlit Mountains. It is the first location in India to receive the first rays of sunshine every single day! Because this easternmost part of India includes some of the highest mountains in the country, they are regularly exposed to sunlight long before the rest of the entire country (still enveloped in darkness). At Ziro, Dong village in Anjaw district, you will experience sunrise hours earlier than in the western half of India.
